the first lp from astoria, released october 27, '24. a massive 69 minute quest and reflection

on the natural cycles of life, death, and rebirth. written and produced over a period of 8 years,

from 2016-2024, both solo and in collaboration with Adam Mcdaniel from Drop of Sun.

Identified as Ennis's coming of age compilation, Borne World is a volume of work that grips onto broad

life strokes admist vulnerable, intimate reflection. Themes of grief, love , and desire are wound together

with a sort of exstistential reaching that is sometimes painful, other times bright & hopeful.

Symbols reiterate themselves and develop new dimension among

motifs like time, (space and time, the end of what? couversets, true luck) birth (born in the ocean,

come into me, sail) an animals' archyetypal journeying (the new world, animal seeking, mt. sheeba )

and death (the end of what? anna, lullabye, surround u)

the album was made with an array of instruments like guitar, harp, synthesizers, ableton,

and field recordings. some pieces were written acoustically first (love is not the poison,

born in the ocean, space and time, animal seeking, lullabye, the end of what? ) while others spawed out of

synthesizers and ableton (thieves, surround u, mt. sheeba, cloud 9, u & I , the new world )
